Make the most of this night. Get your questions answered; network with other parents (look for the parents of the child, your child mentions frequently, exchange contact info, offer to support each other, and to keep each other in the know about classwork/ notes/ projects/ friendships, etc.); build rapport with your child’s teacher (s.)
